SCG Packaging donates “soluble laundry bags” to reduce exposure to COVID-19 contaminated clothes, increase safety and convenience for Medical staff
SCG Packaging represented by Mr. Karan Tejasen, Chief Operating Officer Performance and Polymer Packaging Business and Mr. Paradorn Chulajata, Managing Director of Prepack Thailand Co., Ltd. donated 4,000 soluble laundry bags to Siriraj Hospital, represented by Lect. Dr. Luecha Boontaveekul, Vice Director, together with Assoc. Prof. Naris Kitnarong, Deputy Dean of Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility from Faculty of Medicine, and Siriraj’s Board of Directors. The bags will be used to contain used clothes that might be contaminated by coronavirus. They can be put straight into a washing machine without opening and no cloth separation required. These environmentally friendly laundry bags dissolve completely while washing. No toxic or residue remains. The products keep laundry workers safer and reduce the risk of infection from contaminated clothes. SCG Packaging aims to develop the soluble packaging film so that they can later be applied in other industries such as textiles, consumer products, and green packaging.
